We will finish up our study of the armour of God with prayer. Prayer is what holds all the other pieces together, it is the energy that gives us the power to hold the shield and wield the sword. Our power is not enough. We need, not only each other in this battle, but the power that can only come from God. He is our portion and our strength. Do we pray only when times are tough? Do we say thank you? Do we pray with anticipation of an answer or just to go through the motions?
Luke tells us in Luke 21:36: "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Are we ready for the battle? Ready to escape all these things that shall come to pass? I hope we are all suited up and ready to fight the good fight of faith.
Beginning with the next blog we will begin a series "Christmas for all seasons". Hope you will join me then.
God Bless
I am definitely a praying person, and I thank God daily for answered prayers that I have prayed. God is an awesome God, and I "pray without ceasing", trusting Him with my prayers. Thank you for your wonderful lesson!
