Who are you? Who am I? Thought about that one lately? Who are you to your family, to your friends, to your husband, wife or romantic interest? We spend a lot of time guessing on these things. We want to know who we are to the people we care about the most. Sometimes they say right out and sometimes keep it tucked away safely within their own walls to avoid hurt and frustration.
Want to know what’s amazing in this game called life? The most important being that ever has been, or ever will be doesn’t make us guess at all. He lets us know from the beginning where we stand and where we will always be. “Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!” (Romans 8:39, CEV) Now isn’t that amazing? We may sweat the small stuff if we want to, but God has already said He loves us! His love is unconditional. He loves us no matter what, with his special God love. You see it’s because God so loved the world that He gave us His only Son to die to save us, to save you and to save me.
So now who am I that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt? It’s not because of who I am and not because of what I’ve done, but because of who God is! God, you’ve told me who I am and I am yours.
We may wonder about those in this world, but the One who created the world knows you and me and guess what? He loves us anyway! AMEN!
God Bless!
